The Department of Agriculture and livestock was established in Sharjah on March 21, 2022 by Emiri Decree No. (10/2022) issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His Highness also issued Law No. (4/2022) regulating the work of the department, which formulates public policies, develops strategic plans related to agriculture and livestock in Sharjah, developing methods of using irrigation water and rationalizing its consumption in coordination with the concerned authorities, in addition to partnerships with the public and private sectors; for the purpose of investing in the field of agricultural and livestock production, contributing to strengthening compliance with legislation, control Inspection of enterprises and farms whose activity is related to the work of the Department.
