Expansion of Mleiha Dairy Farm’s product range
His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji stated that the expansion of Maliha Dairy Farm’s product range is in response to the growing demand for its organic products. He highlighted that the farm’s current production is 16,000 litres of fresh organic milk per day, available in three sizes: two litres, one litre, and 180 ml. This milk will be available at Sharjah Co-op branches starting today, with wider distribution across all sales outlets next week. Dr. Al Tunaiji also mentioned that Maliha Dairy Farm produces around 40,000 litres of milk daily and will soon introduce new dairy products for children, featuring natural flavors free from additives, by the end of January.
Focus on organic, nutritional benefits
Dr. Eng. Al Tunaiji added, “Our organic dairy products and derivatives are rich in A2A2 protein, making them easy to digest and ensuring they are safe and nutritious organic food.”
Sharjah’s vision for sustainable self-sufficiency
He highlighted that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has designated 2025 as the "Golden Year" to celebrate the achievements of the Sharjah Organic Food Security System and its projects aimed at enhancing sustainable self-sufficiency.
Future growth and regional impact
He emphasised that "EKTIFA" is working to double the nucleus herd at Maliha Dairy Farm to 8,000 cows by the end of this year. Over the next three years, the herd is expected to grow to around 20,000 cows, enabling the farm to meet the demands of both the local and Gulf markets for dairy products and their derivatives. This expansion comes in response to the growing interest in improving nutritional lifestyles, promoting a culture of healthy and safe food, and addressing issues like overweight, obesity, and diet-related health risks.
