Wheat Farms in Mleiha Area

The first organic farm in the Middle East utilizing modern irrigation technologies, plant health monitoring, and reducing environmental waste. It earned the Future Readiness Mark due to its sustainable food security projects. It includes a lab and experimental farm for developing non-GMO wheat varieties, aiming to produce the Sharjah1 wheat strain within 5 years.

Mleiha Dairy

Mleiha Dairy Farm, the first in the Middle East to produce fully organic milk, was inaugurated in April 2024, with the factory opening in May 2025. It currently houses 1,200 cows, expected to increase to 8,000. Within three years, it will become the largest producer of organic milk, featuring eco-friendly and recyclable packaging.

By implementing well-studied strategies to enhance production efficiency and quality, the project seeks to promote local awareness about beekeeping and support beekeepers in this vital sector.

The poultry farm adopts advanced global best practices, making it a model to emulate in Sharjah, similar to many other projects undertaken by the authority. This farm is completely free of genetic or hereditary modifications, reflecting Sharjah’s commitment to providing healthy and safe products for consumers. By implementing precise strategies for poultry care and management, the farm aims to achieve the highest levels of quality and productivity, enhancing its role in strengthening local food security and meeting market needs.
